Investigate the various aspects of landscape photography. Learn how to make great pictures that are more than just a snapshot. The whole aim with landscape photography is to create an image that describes not just what it looked like to be in this location, but what it felt like to be there.

We start off in the studio with a short discussion on landscape theroy, and look at some of the different styles of photography that have been used. We will discuss lens choice and look at the way different camera settings can effect the outcome of your photography. We will talk a bit about composition and camera angle and how we can use our cameras settings to enhance or exaggerate our subject.

We will then look at techniques like stitching panoramas and long exposure photography, and the use of neutral density filters to change the way your camera sees a scene, even in broad daylight. After lunch, we will head outdoors to make some pictures and will look at how to handle various conditions. Depending on the weather, we will head off to a location that offers us some interesting subject matter to test our theory on.
